KnowBe4 is an IT security resource available to all faculty and staff at UConn.
The integrated platform for security awareness training and phishing attack simulation covers an extensive range of topics and delivers content in varying and engaging formats, such as games, short videos, modules, and even sitcom-style shows. The service frequently adds new content and notably, has built up its collection of material about working safely and securely from remote locations. This is particularly relevant with much of our community working partly or completely from home. KnowBe4 is the resource powering our previously announced ITS Information Security Office quarterly phish testing.
ITS is announcing this in October as part of National Cybersecurity Awareness Month (NCSAM). Now in its 17th year, NCSAM was established to raise awareness about the importance of cybersecurity and to ensure that individuals have access to the knowledge and resources they need to be safer and more secure online. An informed community is essential for the protection of data and prevention of security compromises, and ITS is committed to providing education and resources that might help. KnowBe4 is available at training.knowbe4.com and requires a university email address for authentication. Content is available at any time in the ModStore, and upon request, ITS can create customized courses for multiple participants. We encourage you to share this information with your respective constituents.
