NetID Self-Service

Posted on September 10, 2018September 10, 2019 by Cerrigione, Christopher

ITS has launched a NetID self-service communications campaign.

Your UConn Network Identifier (NetID) is part of your institutional digital identity and is necessary to access most University computing systems and services.  A large number ITS support calls are requests to reset NetID passwords.  We are happy to assist in account recovery, but call volume spikes and staffing hours can mean that this might not be the fastest way to resolve password issues.  The ITS NetID support site, available at netid.uconn.edu, has self-service mechanisms to activate, identify, and recover accounts/passwords.  ITS has launched a communication initiative to promote the use of these self-service capabilities and to help our community to set password recovery options.  We are aggressively pursuing increased adoption and request your support encouraging your constituents to take advantage of this time-saving functionality.
