ITS will be replacing the voicemail system for faculty and staff on the UConn Storrs campus.
Voicemail is a significant service for our university community, and the underlying infrastructure has reached the end of its useful life and must be refreshed.
After a careful research and review process, ITS has selected a voicemail solution that is offered by a market leader. The Cisco Unity system has the capability to both meet the current needs of the University and the potential to offer contemporary features, such as voicemail to email integration. This technology is aligned for future integration with our evolving video conferencing infrastructure. We are now in the design phase and are actively gathering information from the vendor and UConn IT professionals to prepare us for a smooth implementation. The current service will continue without change while we fully develop its replacement.
Once the design is finalized, we will communicate proposed dates for the transition and announce the change to current customers.
