We would like to share information about individual web conferencing services available to the UConn community.
Professional and personal interactions have evolved. Today, individuals supplement face-to-face meetings with real-time collaboration supported by web conferencing and other interactive tools. ITS currently supports two distinct web conferencing solutions for use by all NetID authenticated individuals. Cisco WebEX is available as part of an expanded classroom support contract funded by the Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning, School of Business, School of Engineering, Stamford campus, and ITS. Likewise, the university enterprise agreement with Microsoft provides a Skype/Lync environment with the Microsoft Office 365 suite of tools. More information is available at http://office365.uconn.edu/services/skype/. Which service you find most useful depends on application, environment, and individual aesthetics.
