Stata/SE will be available to all UConn faculty, staff, and students starting July 1, 2018.
Stata is a data analysis and statistical software package that is used by multiple areas of the University for research and teaching purposes. ITS currently makes two different packages available. Stata/SE is available for faculty and staff for academic use on university-owned devices. State/IC is available for academic use in university lab environments. The first product is capable of working with larger data sets than the second product. ITS and the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences (CLAS) partnered to procure an expanded institutional site license that will allow UConn faculty, staff, and students at all UConn campuses to install Stata/SE for academic use on personal and university-owned devices. The broader agreement will better meet the academic needs and hardware situations of our community. The new agreement and terms will go into effect on July 1, 2018 when the existing agreement expires. For more information and/or to download the software, visit software.uconn.edu.
